Welcome to the webpages of No.1 Lancaster Squadron, Web Cadet Corps. Take a look around and you will pretty quickly realise that we are a highly motivated and energetic bunch dedicated to having some fun; learning new things; fostering new friendships.
We have a wonderful staff dedicated to making this place great! In particular would like to call your attention to the Executive Officer (second in command), Squadron Leader (WCCAF) Steven Bell and the Squadron Warrant Officer (the senior ranking NCO), Master Warrant Officer (WCCAF) John McGann - with these two and other fantastic staff, we pledge to lead by example and be available to our members on a regular basis.
The Squadron has two operational flights - Spitfire Flight under the steady leadership of Warrant Officer (AF) Greg Campbell and Aurora Detachment being guided by the ever gung ho LtJG (S) Lloyd Storey These 2 officers with the assistance of the Flight NCOs and Squad Leaders ensure that our members are being appropriately challenged to do their best and that a spirit of positive competition exists between the flights.
You will no doubt notice that there is now an option for Squadron Members to wear either the light blue of the Air Force (AF) section or the grey of the Space section. This option has no affect on our day to day operations other than allowing members to choose which colour of rank badges and rank structure they prefer - we are all still one Squadron whether in AF blue or Space grey.
That'is probably more than enough from me for right now! Keep having fun and working hard. As Commanding Officer, I am at your service and have an open door policy. If you have run a problem through your chain of command with no resolution, then feel free to approach me. On the other hand if you just want to chat sometime, look me up - I am here for the same reasons you are! Pilk, OUT.
Commander(S) Lloyd Storey
Commanding Officer
Greeting's Spacie's and Petrol Pigeons;
My name is Master Warrant Officer (AF) Greg Campbell, Your Squadron Warrant Officer
For those who do not know me, I have an extensive repertoire of leadership both in the hallowed halls of the Web Cadet Corps, and of that in my career as a Sergeant with the UK Air Training Corps. Both of which have surrounded the Air Force alone, and My heart and soul rests in these halls.
My main duties are to represent YOU (that's right all you Non Comms and Cadets.....pfft Officers have been around long enough to know where to hide) every single memember of this Squadron to the AF Command, and It's my standards that all of you wishing to become NCO's need to try and match if not surpass - but as long as your doing your best, I cannot complain
It's now time for me to repay the work and effort into my own training.

^^^ This is a VERY important Operation and has been a little dead over the months it has been on-going. I would like to see more of you taking part in it - as it means that the squadron can become much more active and much more can happen
The second quarter has been and gone - Congratulations to everyone who recieved a promotion and/or a medal. You all deserved them and they are well earnt. But.........
DON'T STOP NOW!!
There's still 6 MONTHS left of the year and plenty to achieve and to aim for. Always make sure your doing something... whether it be ETP courses, converting trades, turning in Trades and Quals for marking.....Doing features, posting on the forums, recruting!!! As long as your doing something productive for the betterment of the unit and the Coprs, I'm happy.
I always want to hear from you all more. I want to hear what your doing, I want to know what trades you've done, and I want to know what you think you can do to improve the squadron!!

The second quarter is coming up VERY SOON (Less than 5 weeks in fact) and without nominations from you all, I have
no medals to award, nothing - and having nothing to do makes a very un-happy SWO, and we all know where
that leads to.
Furthermore- I want to hear from you all more. I want to hear what your doing, I want to know what trades you've done, and I want to know what you think you can do to improve the squadron!!
So, where can you contact me? I here you cry....
